Happy Birthday!

Here's a recap of what happened...

On Saturday, Dennis was playing for church so I insisted he came over for dinner after. Since I was working that weekend, I didn't have much time to plan so I had to cook whatever little bit of food I had left at home (which was a tiny bit of salmon, and some pasta without sauce. I didn't even have vegetables to cook so we had cucumber).
Anyway, from the office, I braved myself to drive to SS2 and bought two slices of cake from Secret Recipe. Traffic was quite bad since it was close to dinner time, but thankfully, I managed to get a parking spot right in front of the shop, and got the cake without any problems. *phew* Not bad considering it was my first time going there alone.

Anyway, it was all going well until I suddenly got a message from Den asking whether his best friend could come over for dinner, and that got me quite worried! I didn't have enough food, remember? So, I told him. But feeling bad, I decided to message that friend instead and double checked if he wanted to come. I was waiting for the reply in front of Secret Recipe and trying hard to figure out what I could get to add to dinner, since time was running short and I hadn't even arrived home to start cooking! Well good for me, his friend said he'd pass.

So i went home, quickly rushed to cook dinner, went downstairs to the sundry shop to look for broccoli which i didn't manage to get, and because of all the running up and down, I didn't finish cooking dinner before Den's arrival. But that was ok because he didn't suspect anything sinceit was quite normal. :)

As we were having dinner, Dennis said he wanted to go grocery shopping. I was thinking "why does this guy have so many ideas today? of all days?" The cakes were in the fridge, and I planned to surprise him later but since he seemed in a hurry to go grocery shopping, I had to fast forward my plans. Good for me, he went to my computer and started looking at my phone bill on the table, so that was distraction. I jumped onto that opportunity, ran to the kitchen and started lighting the candles. Then my housemate and I turned off the lights, and brought the cake in!

I guess the good thing was that he didn't suspect anything, so *yay!* success on that part.

Here are a few photos to share the moment:

Surprise Surprise!Birthday present! :)

Then, there was another dinner the day after with the rest of his family and close friends. We had another Secret Recipe cake (actually, it was a brownie) and Organic food which was very interesting. The rojak came served in fusion style: vegetables and fruits together, with some seaweed on top and black sesame seeds sprinkled all over. My food was good, though. I had pasta! Yum!
So that concludes the big birthday for big Den! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR!! *hugs*

stuck in office.

Yes, that's my only reason to blog. I've done everything I possibly can - or want - so I'm down to my last possible activity - blogging.
Okay sis, u've made a point. stop counting the days since my last blog! I write so much everyday I just cant be bothered to blog anymore. bah.
anyway, I'm stuck in the office right now because I'm still waiting for my colleague to send me home. Car got into an accident (this guy drove straight into my car when it was stationery at the traffic light) so you can imagine the trauma I went through. It was in the middle of a highway, and in the middle of peak hour = traffic jam. Yup, but I'm so glad I have good friends who are willing to send me to and fro from work! No complains.
Enough about the accident, oh, and I'm fine by the way. Just incase you were wondering. I'm stranded in my office, not paralysed in some hospital bed. THANK GOD.
Apart from that, work has been good, and I'm learning heaps. Already made a mistake which was printed and circulated all around the country, but lets just hope it doesn't happen again. Thankfully it was a minor mistake, not a major one. (I shall decline to mention what the mistake was but let me assure you again, it was minor.) I have a very very nice Editor, which helps a lot in my mental wellbeing.
Oh goodness, I've managed to blog quite a bit. I thought I'd get like 2 sentences down and end it there, but once I start typing it just doesnt stop. I feel like I'm blabbering nonstop...
Anyway, since I was so bored I decided to open facebook, which has been sitting dormant for quite a while (when you start working, you just don't find the time to open these social sites anymore for some reason..) and while looking through some pictures, I realised how much I'm missing Melbourne! Actually, I just miss the life.
alright, friend is here. Byeeee! going home!!!

Your wish is my command

Okay, to those of you who were complaining about me not blogging, the Genie shall now grant your wish.

My first entry of a new start!

Lets see... I've been in KL for just under a month now, and have just survived my first week of work as a journalist. :)

I also got a new car to start my new life with me,

Ta Dah!!!

and well, I'm just too tired now to write anything.

But yes, that's better than no updates at all, right? okies, hopefully I will blog again sometime soon. Me should not be lazy.
