Apparently the editor of The Economist has decided to give in to aesthetic priorities. Or was it really that simple?

Gone were the days where journalism ethics are kept in place. Working magic in images with only a few clicks of a mouse, a picture sure speaks a thousand words. The question is, are the words genuine? If The Economist can get away with something like that, it's scary to think what other publications are doing.
